An elderly couple have sadly died following a fatal crash in Co Limerick this morning.
It is understood the couple a man aged in his 80s and a woman aged in her 70s died after they were involved in a two vehicle collision in Dromkeen in Co Limerick.
The collision between a lorry and a car happened on the N24 Limerick to Tipperary road at Gortnadromin at approximately 11am.
Gardaí investigating the incident say the couple a husband and wife from the UK died at the scene.
They also say the driver of the lorry a man aged in his 40s was taken to University Hospital Limerick, but it is believed that he suffered non-life threatening injuries in the incident.
