There was some sad news announced last night as Gardaí in Drogheda confirmed that an elderly man died following a road traffic accident in the town.
Gardaí say the single-vehicle crash happened at approximately 7.30pm at the Roadhall roundabout, North Rd, Drogheda.
The victim a 76-year-old man, was travelling alone, and was quickly rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where a short time later he was later sadly pronounced dead.
