Gardaí in Co Donegal have sadly confirmed this evening that an elderly has sadly passed away following a house fire in Cloghan.
It is understood the man tragically lost his life after the blaze broke out at the property in Glassaghbeg in Cloghan this afternoon.
Emergency services quickly rushed to the scene but sadly the man was pronounced dead at approximately 2.30pm.
Gardaí say an investigation is currently ongoing.
