There is some tragic news this evening, as a 10-year-old girl reportedly died on board a flight from Toronto to London Heathrow.
The crew declared an emergency after the child lapsed into cardiac arrest in mid flight. The aircraft was diverted to Shannon Airport, where an emergency crew was standing by.
The child was rushed to University Hospital Limerick, where she was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
