Gardai in Limerick have confirmed that a 19 year old student who was left in critical condition in hospital after a great fall at a house in Limerick four days ago has sadly passed away in hospital.
The student named locally as Sophie Coll, from Barna Galway, reportedly suffered a number of critical injuries in the fall which occurred at a rented student accommodation property in College Court, Castletroy, last Monday.
Gardai say Ms Coll sadly passed away due to the extent of her injuries at University Hospital Limerick earlier today.
They also say they are treating Ms Coll’s death as an accident.
