Gardai in Navan Co Meath have confirmed that a body of man recovered from the River Boyne on Tuesday evening is that of missing Navan man John Stokes.
According to The Meath Chronicle Gardai deadly confirmed the news earlier today following post mortem examination.
Mr Stokes was reported missing on the 18th of November and rescue teams have been conducting a wide scale search on both the River Boyne and Blackwater.
The devastating news comes after the crews were also conducting a search for another man named Derek Gallagher who went missing almost three weeks ago.
