There was some tragic news announced late last night as Gardaí in Co Carlow confirmed that a man driving a motorised go-kart has died following a road accident.
Gardaí say the incident occurred at Nurney, Co Carlow at approximately 2.45pm on Friday afternoon.
It is believed the man, aged in his 20s, was fatally injured in incident when the go-cart he was driving was in a collision with a van.
The young man was quickly taken to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
