There was some tragic news anounced in the past hour as Gardai in Limerick City have confirmed they have found the body of missing man William Tiernan.
Mr Tiernan aged 44, was reportedly found earlier today on the bank of a canal at Corbally.
The discovery Mr Tiernan’s remains comes days after an appeal was issued to the public after he was last seen on Denmark Street in Limerick city on December 12th.
Gardai say Mr Tiernan’s remains have now been transferred to University Hospital Limerick were a post-mortem examination will take place.
