A murder investigation has been launched after the body of a Cork woman was found in a flat in Cork city yesterday.
39-yr-old Nicola Collins is said to have known her killer. Her body was discovered in the early hours of yesterday morning.
She was pronounced dead at the scene in the Farranree area of the City and a 42-year-old man was arrested.
He is currently being held in Mayfield garda station and will either be freed or charged later today.
