Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal for baby Alannah, the tragic infant who’s body was discovered one year ago at a recycling plant in Bray Co Wicklow.

The mother of the tragic tot has still not come forward and the gardaí are without any leads. Alannah – named by officers – died from natural causes according to the post-mortem. There are serious concerns for the mother’s welfare.

Inspector Sorcha Fitzpatrick said: “As a result of our original appeal we did peruse a number of lines of inquiry but we are now satisfied that they weren’t connected with this incident.

“The focus of our appeal today is to renew it for anybody who has information in relation to the circumstances which led to the discovery of the baby’s body in Bray to contact us here in the Garda station.”

Bray Garda Station can be contacted on 016665300. The Garda Confidential Line is 1800666111.
