Police in the US have confirmed that they are investigating the death of a two-year-old girl who was tragically found frozen to death outside.
According to reports in the US, the little girl was found dead on Maple Street in Newport, New Hampshire on Monday.
It is understood the little girl accidently locked herself outside during the night after she wandered outside as temperatures dropped to -8F (-22C).
Police say the little girl was found by a neighbour at 7am on Monday morning, they added that they treating the girl’s death as a tragic accident.
It is believed that the family had recently moved to the area.
