Police in the North have launched an investigation following the death of a 71-year-old man who was seriously assaulted in Co Down.
The investigation comes after the man was found unconscious in his home at approximatly 10.30am on Thursday morning.
Although the elderly man was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries, he sadly passed away on Friday afternoon.
