There was some sad news announced late last night as Gardai confirmed that a man aged in his 30s died following a road traffic collision in Dublin on Friday.
Gardai say the man who was knocked off his moped at the junction between Sherrard Street and the North Circular Road, died as a result of his injuries.
It is understood the man was taken to the Mater Hospital by emergency services who quickly arrived at the scene, but unfortunately he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Gardai say the driver of the other vehicle involved in the incident was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
They added that am investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
