Authorities have confirmed that a man’s body has been found in Lough Corrib, during the search for the missing fisherman whose boat was found empty yesterday morning, near Oughterard, Co. Galway.
It is understood that the body was discovered this afternoon near Camillaun Island, close to where the man set out.
The body has been transferred to Galway University Hospital.
