Tragic news this afternoon – A teenager has been killed in a major car crash in Dublin

A head on car crash, involving a car and a motorbike, happened at the junction of Killbarron Park and Cromcastle Road, in Coolock, north Dublin shorlty after 1pm this afternoon.

A man who was driving the motorbike, believed to be 19-yrs of age, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The female driver has been brought to Beaumont Hospital where her condition is believed to be not life threatening.

Diversions are in place at the junction of Killbarron Park and Cromcastle Road and the Garda Forensic Collision Investigation team are at scene.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Santry Garda Station on 01-6664000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Earlier today another man was killed in County Limerick when he was out walking and got struck by a car.
