Tragic: One-yr-old baby girl dies after being left inside a sweltering hot car with temperatures reaching 35C outside




A one-year-old baby girl has sadly died after her mother left her inside a sweltering hot car as temperatures topped 35C.

The tragic incident which occurred in Sanford, Florida, has now led to a police investigation after the baby girl’s mother was arrested for negligent manslaughter.

According to reports in the US press, the woman at the centre of the case Kailyn Pollard, 29, unknowingly left her daughter in the sweltering hot car after she forgot to drop her off at daycare.

It is believed the infant who was found dead at the scene was left in the car for a number of hours and she was only discovered by her mother when she stopped off at a gas station before heading to dinner.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:30pm on Friday afternoon, has now led to the distraught mother’s arrest and she has been officially charged with negligent manslaughter.

Police say the infant was left undetected as the car seat which was located in the rear of the car was placed pointing backwards.

It is believed that the little girl was pronounced dead at the scene after she was found non-responsive by her mother.
