There was some sad news announced late last night as police In the US announced that legendary singer Chuck Berry had passed away.
The singer who will be fondly remembered for his string if hits including Johnny B Goode passed away at his home at approximately 12pm on Saturday.
The news of the iconic singers death was confirmed by the St Charles County Police Department who said they were called to reports of an unresponsive man at 12:40 local time (17:40 GMT).
A police spokesperson explained: “Unfortunately, the 90-year-old man could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at 1:26pm,” the statement continued.
“The St. Charles County Police Department sadly confirms the death of Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr., better known as legendary musician Chuck Berry.”
