Sad news emerged from County Clare yeseterday after a man lost his life after a stunt performed at the Cliffs of Moher went terribly wrong.
It is understood three men were set to undertake a base jump, that is, a jump from high, fixed structure, wearing a parachute or a wingsuit.
The first man jumped successfully, but tragedy struck when the second man attempted the same stunt. It is not immediately clear whether his parachute deployed too late, or not at all.
The man’s body was retrieved by a Coast Guard Helicopter, but he was sadly confirmed to be dead.
