Police in the UK have sadly confirmed that a six year old girl has died after drowning at a popular seaside resort.
It is understood the young girl died whilst swimming at Margate Harbour on Saturday.
Although the young girl was taken to hospital in serious condition, a spokesperson for Kent police confirmed she had died in hospital on Sunday.
They added the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
