Tragic: Thousands attend the funeral of mother-of-two Dawn Croke in Donegal

Thousands of people attended the funeral of mother-of-two Dawn Croke who tragically was killed in an accident on Thursday evening in Dungloe, Co. Donegal.

Ms Croke, was aged in her 30s and was a teacher at the local Rosses Community School, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene after she was hit by a car at St Crona’s National School.

A 6-year-old girl, understood to be the daughter of the driver, was also injured in the accident.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Rosses Community School have paid tribute to the loving mother of two who was described as a wonderful partner, mother, friend and teacher.

Fr Pat Ward said at funeral mass yesterday that the outpouring of mourning for this lady was felt across Dungloe and that it just showed how much she was respected, liked and loved. RIP
