Police in the UK have sadly confirmed that a 3 year old boy has died after being struck by a lorry in Dorset.
The tragic incident that has also seen the arrest of a 43 year old man, occurred in the town of Wareham on Thursday morning.
Officers investigating the tragic incident say the young infant was struck by a Sainsbury’s lorry at pedestrian crossing on North Street in the town.
Although the infant was quickly rushed to Dorset County Hospital, police have sadly confirmed that the boy died a short time later.
Dorset police say they are currently investigating the incident and they are also in liaison with the boy’s family members who were at the scene.
