A three year old boy has sadly died after drowning in a swimming pool at a fitness club in Leeds.
The heartbreaking incident which occurred at David Lloyd fitness club in the English city when the young boy was attending the gym with his family.
Although the incident is being treated as a tragic police say they are currently investigating the incident after they were called to the scene on Tongue Lane at approximately 9:45am on Saturday morning.
It is believed that a number of attempts were made to save the boy’s life at the scene, a spokesperson for the police confirmed that the infant later died at Leeds General Infermary Hospital.
