The sad news announced yesterday by the parents of brave Sunderland AFC fan Bradley Lowery confirmed their six year old son had sadly passed away.
Little Bradley who was a devoted Sunderland AFC fan and avid follower of Striker Jermaine Defoe tragically passed away after a long battle with the rare childhood cancer neuroblastoma.
In a Facebook post Bradley’s parents said: “My brave boy has went with the angels today… in mammy and daddies arms surrounded by his family.”
“He was our little superhero and put the biggest fight up but he was needed elsewhere.”
“There are no words to describe how heartbroken we are. Thank you everyone for all your support and kind words.”
“Sleep tight baby boy and fly high with them angels.”
Tributes have poured in from across the football world from both fans, famous players and club chairmen.
RIP to the little man.
