Police in the UK have sadly confirmed that two runners have died after taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon.
It is believed both men aged in their 20s and 30s respectively collapsed after completing 13 mile race on Sunday.
In a brief statement Cardiff police confirmed the deaths by saying both men had collapsed following the event.
Both men sadly died at the University Hospital Wales after they suffered cardiac arrest.
Organisers of the event which saw 25,000 people take part, said shocked and saddened by the news.
They also offered their deepest condolences to both of the men’s families.
