There was some sad news announced today as Gardai in Co Kerry sadly confirmed that a teenage boy has died in hospital following an accidental collision at a football match on Saturday.
According to RTÉ News the young boy aged 14, tragically passed away in Cork University Hospital on Saturday night after he sustained a head injury whilst playing for Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne.
It is understood the teenager was immediately rushed to Cork University Hospital and placed into intensive care following the accident but unfortunately he died overnight.
