Tributes have poured in for a 19-year-old Irish student who tragically drowned while swimming in a lake in Spain over the weekend.
It is understood that the teenager was a language student in a small town in Ciudad Real. It’s understood that he disappeared on a visit to the Natural Park of Las Lagunas de Ruidera.
The park is located in central Spain between the cities of Ciudad Real and Albacete.
A source speaking to the Irish Mirror claims that divers recovered the young man’s body late yesterday evening.
Locals have paid tribute to the young man online but at this time, his name has not been publicly announced.
