Sligo man Paul Walsh was fatally injured while working on a broadband installation in the town of Katoomba near the Blue Mountains in New South Wales last Friday.
The incident was said to be a complete accident that unfortunately took the Irishman’s life.
In a statement on its Facebook page, Sligo GAA club Tourlestrane offered its condolences to Mr Walsh’s family.
“The club would like to offer sincere condolences to his mother Elizabeth, brother John and all of the extended Walsh and Gilmartin families, neighbours and friends”.
