Tributes have poured in from around the world for two young Scandinavian women who were tragically found dead after being beheaded in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

While some people questioned why the women were there in the first place, others jumped to their defence by querying why they shouldn’t be able to go to the likes of Morocco in this day and age and feel safe and able to enjoy their stay.

According to the Telegraph, three Moroccan men have subsequently been arrested with Islamic terrorism suspected after the bodies of the two women, one from Denmark and one from Norway, were discovered.

Louisa Jespersen, 24, from Denmark and Maren Ueland, 28, from Norway were travelling across the Saharan country before they were murdered by a group men in a secluded area of the mountains.

The attack they endured before death was so sever both women were practically decapitated when found according to witnesses.

All three men arrested in connection with the horrifying murders are Moroccan nationals and believed to be from Marrakesh, where the UN migration pact was recently signed.
