Tributes have poured in for an Indian student who tragically fell to his death at the Cliffs of Moher on Friday.
The tributes come as Trinity College student Anand Goel, sadly passed away after falling 600ft from the Cliffs whilst on a visit to the popular tourist attraction on Friday afternoon.
In a brief statement posted on Facebook, the Indian Embassy in Ireland said the following: “Deeply saddened by tragic death of promising Indian student of Trinity, Anand Goel, who accidentally fell off Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare yesterday.”
“Very grateful to Irish Coast Guard/Search & Rescue helicopter and boat teams for recovering body. Heartfelt condolences to bereaved family. Their loss is our loss. Embassy assisting with all formalities.”
It is understood Mr Goel travelled to Ireland from Delhi last September to study at Trinity College.
