Arguably one of the reasons President Donald Trump got elected in the first place, chief adviser Kellyanne Conway has announced that she too is a victim of serious sexual assault.
Ms Conway was speaking to CNN’s Jake Tapper about her boss, President Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court Brett Kavanaugh.
“I feel very empathetic, frankly, towards victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment and rape,” she said, before pausing to clear her throat.
“I’m a victim of sexual assault. I don’t expect Judge Kavanaugh, or Jake Tapper, or Jeff Flake, or anybody, to be held responsible for that. You have to be responsible for your own conduct,”.
The revelations have been felt like a bomb on democrats who are battling to stop Brett Kavanaugh as it has been widely mooted he will reverse the abortion law Roe vs Wade once and for all.
