TV personality Ant McPartlin has been given a 20 month driving ban and has been fined £86,000 after he pleaded guilty to drink driving at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.
According to Sky News, the Saturday Night Takeaway star was given the sentence after he pleaded guilty drink driving follow an accident last month.
The star who is currently on break from his presenting duties with ITV, was given the sentence after a breath test which was taken after the accident found that the star was twice over the legal limit.
Sky News say McPartlin, was given the sentence after the judge took his salary into account whilst presiding over the case.
The TV star will however be allowed to drive in 15 months time provided he undertakes a driver safety test.
