TV star Anthony McPartlin has thanked fans for their support after he recently announced that he is under going rehabilitation treatment for the use of prescription drugs and alcohol.
McPartlin who is a household name throughout the UK and Ireland also said he was sorry for his actions and he is seeking to get the help he needs.
Speaking to the Sun on Sunday, The Saturday Night Takeaway host said: “I feel like I have let a lot of people down and for that I am truly sorry.”
“I want to thank my wife, family and closest friends for helping me through this really difficult time.”
“I’ve spoken out because I think it’s important that people ask for help if they’re going through a rough time and get the proper treatment to help their recovery.”
It is believed McParlin willingly checked himself into a rehab clinic after he became reliant on the substances over the past year after an operation on his knee was unsuccessful.
Meanwhile his co-host and very good friendly Declan Donnelly also thanked fans for their support, he also said he hopes Ant will get the help he needs.
