The lucky players, two friends from Newbridge, Co. Kildare, have finally seen their tenacity pay off big time.
The pair have been playing the same Lotto numbers for over 20 years, and that constant dedication has seen them collect a big cheque worth €10.2m today, after their numbers came up on Saturday’s draw.
The numbers represent birthdays in their respective families.
This is the biggest Lotto jackpot of the year thus far.
