Two small planes have crashed off the coast of Los Angeles.
The planes collided in mid-air, causing them to descend rapidly into the sea. Lifeguard boats were sent to the scene but as of yet they have been unable to find any survivors.
Authorities have said it is unclear how many were onboard, with only a log book helping to identify two men, aged 61 and 81, that boarded one of the aircrafts.
Another plane, piloted by a 72 year old woman was expected to arrive at Torrance airport earlier on Friday but has not appeared.
Divers have been sent to search the area.
