Two year old Limerick boy remains in critical condition in hospital following 20m fall from Limerick city hotel balcony




A two-year-old boy from Limerick City still remains in critical condition in hospital this morning after he fell from the top-floor balcony of a hotel in the city over the weekend.

The boy, who is from Farranshone apparently fell from the sixth floor of the Strand Hotel at approximately1pm on Saturday afternoon. According to reports the young infant was attending a coffee morning with his family at the time of the incident before he wandered off.

It is believed the gathering was held on the ground floor of the hotel but it is thought the boy wandered off where he managed to reach the sixth floor before falling 20m from the balcony.
