UFC No show fiasco rumbles on as Nate Diaz reveals he is going on vacation unless Conor McGregor is his opponent at UFC 200

The UFC seems to amidst in a fiasco that is showing no signs of ending after Conor McGregor’s removal from the UFC 200 event this coming July, and now it seems that McGregor’s scheduled opponent Nate Diaz has once again thrown fuel on the fire as he stated that he fully plans to go on vacation if the Notorious is not in Las Vegas to face him on July 9th.

Diaz who earlier threatened to walk away from the highly anticipated event is seemingly sticking to his word as he revealed over the weekend that “he is going on vacation, for real”, if the fight between him and McGregor does not pan out. Although UFC chief Dana White has already ruled out the scheduled rematch citing McGregor’s failure to fulfill his promotional obligations as the main reason for the cancellation, the Stockton born fighter remains adamant that he will only face the Dublin native this summer.

Diaz, who is currently scheduled as the main card of the event, has revealed that he only wants to face McGregor. “I just came to fight Conor McGregor. I don’t really have much interest in anyone else, I don’t have any interest in fighting at all. But if that’s what we’re going to do, we’re going to do it.”
“I didn’t ask for the fight, but he asked for it and he wanted it. If that ain’t gonna happen, I’m going on a vacation for real.”

However organisers of the UFC 200 event have confirmed that they are seeking a replacement for McGregor – after they gave him “every opportunity in the world” to appear at a promotional event – with UFC president Dana White insisting that they are not willing to bend the rules to suit McGregor.

Nonetheless, Diaz has stated his intentions to take on the Notorious once again if he is rebooked, Diaz said, “He’s got a lot of catching up to do, so there ain’t no time for this s**t. I’ve been dodging all this for years, I’ve been in trouble for it. I understand it’s all good, let him do his thing, get his train on and then get ready to fight, it’s all good with me.”
