Unable to take off: Aer Lingus cancel a number of flights due to Storm Callum

A high number of passengers will be left stran today as one of the country’s biggest airlines, Aer Lingus has confirmed that some of its scheduled flights have been cancelled due to Storm Callum.

In an announcement made via social media, the airliner confirmed that a number of European flights have been cancelled due to expected high winds caused by the storm.

The airline company also urged those who are scheduled to travel on Friday, to check on the Aer Lingus website to see if their flight has been cancelled or not.

“A number of flights on our European network have been cancelled on Friday 12 October due to Storm Callum.”

“Please check flight status before travelling to the airport.”

Meanwhile Ryanair have confirmed that all their scheduled flights will go ahead unless significant disruption is caused by adverse weather conditions.

In a tweet the company said: “Flights are scheduled to operate, if your flight is affected you will receive an email and a text message with all the details.”
