US Government authorities have just issued a global travel alert, advising its citizens to be vigilant in the current climate of heightened terrorist threat.
A statement released by the US Government read “US citizens should exercise vigilance when in public places or using transportation,”
“Be aware of immediate surroundings and avoid large crowds or crowded places. Exercise particular caution during the holiday season and at holiday festivals or events.”
Meanwhile, the city of Brussels remains in lockdown following perceived threats of Paris-style attacks. Schools, public buildings, and the train network have been shut for the last few days, and a state of high alert is currently being enforced by security and army personnel.
