Sometimes we all need a little help every now and then but when help is offered by a Garda you can’t help but feel a little privileged especially given the fact it is being offered by one of the country’s upstanding citizens, however one motorist got more than they bargained for when a member of the Gardai pulled over to help change their flat tyre.
The motorist in question will surely feel a little bit annoyed this morning after he was heavily penalised for his misfortunes. The driver who has since gone on to capture the attention of the entire nation with their rather amusing story will only have themselves to blame given for what followed next.
According to reports the driver who has remained nameless (unsurprisingly) was subsequently given a number of penalty points after a Garda willingly stopped on Dublin’s Pearse Street to help change their flat tyre after they had no jack. However once the rather strenuous task was completed the helpful man in blue found on closer inspection, that the car also had no tax, NCT, or insurance.
The somewhat amusing incident quickly led to the hapless driver being left without a vehicle as their car was impounded by the gardai who then issued a number of on the spot penalty points along with the summons of a future court appearance.
Oh the misfortune.
