Up to 40 schools across the country may face closure due to structural issues

Up to 40 schools across the country may be closed in the immediate future due to concerns raised about their structural integrity.

The revelation comes after the closure of two schools in Dublin, Tyrrelstown Educate Together and St Luke’s National School in Mulhuddart, and the closure of one building attached to the Ardgillan Community College in Balbriggan.

All buildings under review were built by Tyrone firm Western Building Systems (WBS).
