Up to 8,000 Starbucks outlets will close temporarily for staff training in the wake of the arrest of two black men at one of the franchise’s stores

Up to 8,000 Starbucks will close on the afternoon of May 29, so that staff can receive training to prevent any incident of racial discrimination.

The move comes in the wake of a recent scandal at one of the franchise’s Philadelphia stores, where two black men were arrested under dubious circumstances.

The men were released without charge after a few hours in police custody.

People are now calling for the boycott of Starbucks everywhere.
