Up to six people were injured in separate attacks in east London on Saturday evening, after a group of males sprayed what was described as a ‘noxious substance’.
The incident happened near the Stratford Centre in the Stratford area.
One person was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
Local authorities stressed that the incident was not terror-related.
Acid and other corrosive substances have been used in a spate of recent attacks in the London area.
