Police have arrested the suspect behind an attack on French soldiers in a Paris suburb, the French prime minister has confirmed this evening.
Local media are reporting the incident as a ‘terrorist attack’ but police have not yet confirmed this.
Edouard Philippe said in parliament: “A suspect who was driving the car involved in the attack has been arrested on the highway between Paris and Boulogne-sur-Mer.”
Photos surfaced showing the BMW car that the man, who is aged in his 30s, drove into the soldiers earlier this morning.
It’s understood that the car had been riddled with bullets.
