Tensions are soaring on social media after it emerged that the former Taoiseach and Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny is getting a gigantic payday in the form of a lump sum payment when he finally leaves the Dail and a huge pension for the rest of his life.
Many people have commented that not only does Kenny not deserve the huge payday but that he was in charge of the country when thousands of people lost their jobs, livelihood and even their homes.
By far the most disliked Taoiseach of the modern era, Enda Kenny is in the firing line for social media comments after it’s emerged that the former Taoiseach and Fine Gael leader will receive a whopping €328,000 lump sum payment when he retires from the Dail.
But the enormous lump sum is nothing compared to Kenny’s promised pension.
Kenny will be able to play plenty of Golf over in Mayo with his gigantic pension of €126,000 a year for the rest of his life.
67-yr-old Kenny will get just over €2,400 a week, or €342 a day for the rest of his life.
Shockingly, it’s been mooted locally in Castlebar that Kenny has been rumoured to become a member of numerous boards which in and of themselves have a 6 figure salary.
The former teacher has been criticised at grass roots level for receiving such an inordinate pension.
