US Election: Donald Trump’s opposition jump up and down over misquoted abortion comment

This American Election is proving to be one for the ages. Little known “Barry O’Bama’s” 2008 is absolutely nothing compared to The Donald’s incredible surge to international political stardom.

Trump can’t change his socks without the world writing 20 million articles about it, and one of his latest interviews is no difference.

Interviewed on MSNBC by Chris Matthews (allegedly well know to trip people up), Matthews kept pushing Trump on his views on abortion.

Trump was once pro choice but is now staunchly pro life over an incident that happened in his life prior to 2000.

He had a friend around the same age as he was and who got a much younger woman pregnant. Trump’s friend confided in him and told the billionaire business mogul that they couple had decided on aborting the baby.

Trump details the incident in his book “How To Get Rich” and says he was thinking about his own children and he felt a transition happen in his life that he wished his friends would keep their baby.

He spoke to his friend and the couple decided to keep the baby who is now a very happy 16-yr-old New York teenager.

Trump said the transformation on his abortion views is almost a physical one. Trump said “seeing the fact that this amazing young man, who is a tremendous asset to life and society, not getting the chance at being born is something that completely changed my mind. I am fully pro-life as a result. I stand for life”.

Matthews of course knew this prior to the interview and forced Trump on whether women and people who carry out abortions should be punished if they have an abortion. Trump instantly responded with “I’m pro life and I want abortion made illegal so if it’s a crime they should face some sort of punishment”, clearly meaning the perpetrator being the doctor.

However, pro choice campaigners had a field day over the comment and Trump’s campaign was forced to clarify the misquoted comments doing the rounds online.

Stating on his official website, Trump said the following:

“If Congress were to pass legislation making abortion illegal and the federal courts upheld this legislation, or any state were permitted to ban abortion under state and federal law, the doctor or any other person performing this illegal act upon a woman would be held legally responsible, not the woman. The woman is a victim in this case as is the life in her womb. My position has not changed – like Ronald Reagan, I am pro-life with exceptions.”

They call Trump invincible in the American political arena, the man can do no wrong. CNN commentators claim today that the whole thing was blown out of proportion, while Fox News commentators say only people who would never vote for him anyway made a story out of his comments.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton is under major pressure from super extreme Bernie Sanders. The Senator will more than likely not beat the former First Lady, but he is doing untold damage to her reputation as to the Democrats only choice and “the one” they want in the White House.

Things are hotting up big time Stateside and it’s absolutely fascinating to watch!
