The eyes of the country will be on Dáil Éireann later today as the Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe will deliver his much debated Budget.

It is expected that Mr Donohoe will address the Dail at 1pm this afternoon to discuss what is expected to be a €1.5bn spend for 2019.

Amongst the Government’s financial plan areas including health, housing and taxation cuts are expected to be on top of the list of priorities.

It is also expected that the minimum wage will be increased, whilst social welfare recipients will be given a bonus to their weekly claim.

However it won’t be all spending and cuts as the Government are expected to introduce an increase on items including, fuel, cigarettes and tobacco products.

It is also expected that taxation will be increased in the hospitality sector and the hairdressing industry.
