Varadkar: “It’s not too late for the UK to decide if they want to remain in the EU”

The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said it is not too late for the UK if they decide they want to remain in the EU.

Mr Varadkar who was attending a recent summit meeting with other EU leaders which included British Prime Minister Theresa May said that door will always be open to the UK as no one wants them to leave the EU.

Mr Varadkar who attended talks regarding Brexit and terrorism told the conference that: “The door always remains open to the United Kingdom.” “We don’t want them to leave the European Union or the single market, or the customs union.”

Although the Taoiseach’s comments will do little to sway the UK Government, they were echoed by EU Council President Donald Tusk who said that in politics “everything is possible” and that a reversal of the Brexit decision would realise a personal dream of his.
