The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that the recently published figures on those sleeping rough in the Dublin region are disappointing.
Mr Varadkar who was speaking in the Dáil this afternoon said that although the figures are not as high as they were in recent years, the increasee in figures from the spring are disappointing and a cause for concern.
However the Taoiseach moved to reassure those in the Dáil that over €60m in funding for emergency accommodation.
Mr Varadkar’s comments come as recently published figures by the Department of Housing revealed that the number of those sleeping rough has risen to 156 people.
