Venezuela price regulators have seized nearly 4 million toys from warehouses in order to distribute them to low income children this Christmas.
The country’s price Czar, William Contreras, accused toy importer Distribuidora Kreisel of hoarding and price gouging.
“These products will be put to use by the Clap,” he said, referring to the government’s community-based network that distributes food to low income families.
“Venezuela’s boys and girls will have their baby Jesus guaranteed, and these companies will learn that they can’t play with the rights of the Venezuelans.”
