In what can only be described as one of the most emotional and powerful videos that has ever been posted on social media, brave Dubliner, Emma Murphy decided to take matters into her own hands and post a video that shows the results of domestic violence.
Emma, is seen sitting on the lower steps on her stairs with one of two young children playing in the background.
Emma went into detail as to how she thought her partner was “the love of her life”, and how she thought they’d always be together.
Last June, Emma found out that her partner had cheated on her and as a result, another woman revealed she was pregnant.
Emma confronted her partner, who completed denied the claims. But just last Friday, after another confrontation, Emma has viciously struck hard with a full closed punch to her left eye, leaving a badly battered looking bruise and her face in pain and discomfort.
Emma said she had been assaulted a total of 3 times in total.
The brave lady went on to say that she made the video to “raise awareness of domestic violence, and that it should never happen under any circumstances”.
Her terrific but heartwrenching video has since gone viral.
Sometimes, people really do need to step outside their comfort zone to make a difference in society – this incidence and this lady are one of those times.
